=====================
A Memory, A Monologue, A Rant and A Prayer: Writings To Stop Violence Against Women and Girls is a groundbreaking collection of monologues by world-renowned authors and playwrights, edited by Eve Ensler and Mollie Doyle.
“In the current era, it takes some brain racking to think of anyone else doing anything quite like Ensler. She’s a countercultural consciousness-raiser, an empowering figure, a truth-teller.”
–Chicago Tribune
“Eve Ensler wants to save the world…and don’t even think of getting in her way.”
-New York Times Magazine
What are “The Vagina Monologues”?
Hailed by The New York Times as "funny" and "poignant" and by the Daily News as "intelligent" and "courageous," The Vagina Monologues, which was first performed off-Broadway by Ms. Ensler, dives into the mystery, humor, pain, power, wisdom, outrage and excitement buried in women’s experiences. Ms. Ensler has performed the play to great acclaim throughout the world - from Zagreb to Santa Barbara, from London to Seattle, from Jerusalem to Oklahoma City. Villard Books/Random House first published The Vagina Monologues, which includes a foreword by Gloria Steinem, in February 1998. A special V‑Day edition of the play was released in February 2001.
The V-Diaries is an annual publication of FWN designed to provide a voice for domestic violence survivors which includes a resource list of DV agencies, shelters, legal and counseling services and law enforcement services.
The Filipina Women's Network (FWN) is the non-profit association for women of Philippine ancestry living in the United States.
Filipinas Against Violence is an annual campaign to end violence against Filipina women and girls.
